Save the Date
On November 23, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving with a very special program, thanks to Chapel´s 70th anniversary. From 1 pm on, families and the school community will start off by participating in a Mass, celebrated by Father Miguel Pipolo. "We hope that all students will have at least one member of the family here on that day. We have planned a special surprise, and hope that everyone will be able to participate," says Elementary School Principal Erin Thomas.
During the Mass, the teachers' choir will debut their first performance. The choir was formed in the beginning of this semester and they have been rehearsing weekly for this presentation. Besides the Mass, there will be tastings of special desserts and other fun surprises.
On December 5, closing the celebrations of Chapel´s 70th anniversary, will be held the long awaited Chapel Day. This event will be very interactive for all our Chapel students. It is being organized by a committee formed by the administration, STUCO, and NHS.
This special day will be a Red Carpet event. In order to participate, students will be asked to dress like celebrities. They will have their pictures taken and there will be interviews held at the entrance. There will also be a special lunch. The head of the nutrition department, Marcia Berkowitz, says that the dish that will be served will be one that was very successful among students. There will be adequate programming for all age groups and even a special gift awaits teachers, students and staff. However, it will only be revealed on this very important day, so make sure to not miss it!
