Theater
Performing helps students to develop creativity, confidence and independence. At Chapel School, one of the most enjoyable after school activities has always been the theatrical ensemble. By participating in the entire process, students develop an appreciation for the complex world of theatre. Students are involved in all aspects of theatrical production: set design, lighting, selling tickets and, of course, performing!
While theatre has always been a highlight of Chapel’s extracurricular programs, this year has been a special one as the program expanded into the elementary school. Liza Baker, our elementary principal, directed the elementary performance of the high energy musical “Honk”. Continuing their tradition of fine theatrical productions, the high school put their talents to work in an adaptation of “The Breakfast Club” under the supervision of Flavia Araripe and Rodrigo Bottura.
