Blue News
Chapel’s English department offers Writing for Publication as an English elective for 9th and 10th grade students. This course is responsible for the regular publication of our school newspaper, The Blue News. Students are involved in all aspects of the publication process including brainstorming ideas, researching articles, reporting stories, taking photos and preparing the final copy for layout.
Developing a sense of confidence in their own writing, students will understand the power of the written work and recognize how they can have a positive influence on their community. While this course is only offered to ninth and tenth graders, students from the entire high school are encouraged to contribute articles and/or help with production.
